Ok so I recently swapped my RB20 into my S13. I used the sensor from my KA for the Speedo. However it isnt working, yet it worked in my old car. I got another one from a friend but im afraid that I am going to swap this one in and it still not be the issue since the old one worked before in the KA. Could a sensor really go bad from one transmission to another?

What else could it be?

I trusted wiring to a friend of mine who has done several RB swaps so I dont have any first hand knowledge on the subject.

Take the signal from the ecu and wire it right to the cluster and see if that works. Could be wiring in the car that is what I ment.

Trace the wires for it, they go directly into the fuse box area. I did my own rb20 wiring, and the speedo is completely separate from the ecu/engine harness.

No. Z32 works in rb25 trans, Ka works in RB20 trans.
