i got my autometer temp sensor installed in the rb20 oem sensor location. this is the smaller one wire one. the wire is continuity tested from the sensor to the interior harness at the m63 area... the wire has continuity so thats good, but when the oem s14 temp gauge in the cluster wire is connected to it as well as the wire from the autometer a-pillar temp gauge, both guages read tapped out hot, like extreme hot, maxxed out. im lost as to why they do this i just think its wierd they both do this. i can understand maybe one or the other then isolating one being faulty, but both!? thanks in advance you ppl are great on here!... plz help!!

unhook the wire from the gauge cluster. run a DIRECT WIRE from the new sender to the new gauge. these things work off of voltage and resistance and changing the circuitry will screw with the readings.

as soon as you figure out that high idle PLZ PLZ PLZ contact me.I have been having the same problems as you (eg - no speedo, no temp. sensor, high idle) it seems, and I am at a loss for this idle. I figured out my speedometer problem and have been searching for days about the idle.
