I came across a deal for 2 RB25 Neo's. 1 is wired for an s13, the other has an untouched harness. How different is it going to be to do the wiring? Any links to steps for that specific swap?

Thx for any help u can give me, figured I had a pretty specific question opposed to most ppl's vague or very over asked questions

I did find this page but my adobe acrobat wasn't updated and I couldn't view any of the files lol, I fixed it and saved all the data thank you for the link. I know once I have the 25's sitting in my garage I'll be able to have alot more questions answered about wiring, I'm just hoping going from a rb20-the 25 NEO the wiring wont be to much of a mess to figure out, I hate having diagrams in front of me and not having the actual parts infront of me.

After searching I was able to scrape together a good amount of info. I'd love to go on a HUGE rant about how annoying it was to try and find useful info :soap: but I'm sure every single person here had to do the same or is still finding answers.

I'm confused as to what makes wiring a 25NEO a nightmare? I'll have to Re-pin the F3/M63 (Interior Plug) to match with the s14 (no more difficult than any other RB) My wipers work now so I'll hook it up with the 25 harness exactly like the 20 is but...that's it right??? Something I'm missing?

The only thing I can think of is that some people are idiots and have no patients. Therefore they make things seem alot harder than they appear.

Excellent  I was thinking to myself: no matter how complex the wiring may be on the motor harness, or different than any other RB it may be, I have a complete harness its as simple as plugging in every connector and looking up the ones that may be hiding under other pieces out of plain sight.

When u break down what is needed in each application to complete a swap if fitment and custom fab work aren't issues u run into then the swap will be simple enough just time consuming. Like in my case I already have a RB20 in the car and wired up, the NEO will go right in no problem, like I said just gotta make sure I hook up the motor/engine bay harness correctly and I'm golden.

Even if I don't get a lower harness with the NEO's I'm using my RB20 transmission and can make the lower harness work very easily. I don't have knowledge of many motor swaps but all have the same basic (honestly very basic) requirements. All u need to do is: Install motorset and hook up to drivetrain (may be simple direct bolt in may take lots of fabrication/expensive custom mounts depending on application), have power going to the ecu, re-pin the interior harness (cut, match, and solder wires for most swaps), and turn the key! Vroom! Running swap.

I know many ppl are too stubborn and don't want to take the 10min or less to google a FSM Wiring Diagram for their car and the car their swap is coming out of and draw/write out which colors/pin means what on each side of the interior plug/harness. That's the only real challenge when doing a swap if the info isn't widely spread/available, which in my case the info is available. Only other difficult task, especially when you're gathering info b4 tackling a swap, is thinking of the right questions to ask and being able to search effectively and specifically enough to find what u need. I find 99% of the time if someone asks specific questions, after doing a fairly basic search, that forums members will reply with the needed info/link if they have the ability, instead of flaming the noob and giving replies like, use the search button.

Class is over for the day...lol sorry about the rant

I even realize had I originally been more specific in my first post I may have gotten the answers I needed without weeding through useless threads.
