i had the same 3 issues when i started my RB25...Its all just little bugs that need to be ironed out with any engine swap. I'll tell you what fixed my issues, but, they might not be the same for your car. But at least its something to try...
1. Did you wire the harness up yourself? If so, check your wiring...maybe a pin is off. I fixed my problem by getting a new tachometer. My tachometer was faulty.
2. Did you paint anything on the engine near the turbo? I had some smoke coming from the turbo because I had painted it black and some of the paint burned off. Also the wire from the MAF adaptor was laying on the turbo (gets extrememly hot) and burned alittle of the tape off of the harness...
3. Check to make sure there are NO Vacuum leaks or exhaust leaks. I had a few of them, also my TPS was faulty. Are you using the stock MAF?
Also is everything stock on your RB20? No mods at all?
