Decided since i didnt really have a build thread on here i would start one. Got the 240 about 2 years ago with a ka then swapped the rb in with some other crap.

I was planning on takeing the motor out this week to do bushing turbo and clutch but i decided i was going to try and drive in spring moves.

pics:started with this

then did brakes

old ka

new rb

then some of this...

then this

drove it like this for a while

then i gt bored and started polishing stufff in the bay this winter parts are only half way done

and now the parts i need to still install

and then this is abunch of stuff i got today

the parts i needed to finish my clutch

thinking about picking this up

I still need to install Extinguisherfinish 5 lug swapbushings turbo clutch

and find a helmet all before the 10th for clubloose spring moves

Finally after three days of hassle i got my clutch finished. i dont think i ever want to do another clutch in my driveway again. Ii order to get the trans back in i had to bang the trans tunnel out which was quite annoying.

The clutch i replaced it with was a act 6 puck which grabs like no other but the clutch pedal is now kinda stiff

and pics from the swap of course

i wanted to throw this thing off a cliff...new clutchmy purple welded diff holding up well

havent updated this in a while so i thought now would be a good time...

so i started off by getting my rims and tires mounted 17x10+25 on a 215 40 federal all around 5mm spacer up front to clear coils
Image
Image
Image

then had alittle photo shoot
Image

Really wanted to lower my car more but when i went to do it all my coilovers were seized so i was like fuk that...

after that my exhaust leak got really bad so i decided to stop being lazy and put the cxraing turbo in. Didnt really know wat to expect but it wasnt too bad. New water lines had to be made, the oil return line had to be heavily modified and my ic piping had to be alterded alittle since the cx turbo sits further in than the stock turbo.

when i went to take the stock turbo off 2 bolts were already missing and the gasket was cracked in half
Image
Image
Image
Image

The new water lines...
Image

and what will hopefully keep them from melting
Image

and the new turbo in its new home...
Image

started it up last night then took it for a drive spools nice but there was a little somke coming from the back when i got home hope its okay...

not really sure if i should drive nightmoves tonight but ill see how i feel about it

How well does the cxracing turbo perform? Does it pull hard and @ what rpm range?

yea i do almost all the work myself, 1 summer of tech school and common sense is all you really need...

the turbo spools pretty well but is still spiking to 15 pounds and is now making a weird noise till it warms up so i dont really know what direction its headed in...

at this point if it holds out i will highly reccomend it. Its great for drifting and street use and it will put you in the back of your seat at WOT.

full boost at around 5000-6000 i think

Also rolled my fenders yesterday in preperation for lowering the car another 2 inches. hopefully ill have pics up later

5000-6000 RPMs? Thats weird, mine hits full boost at 4500 also spiking to 15lbs. Picked up an MBC to fix that issue

thats the same thing i did, i also never got my tach recalibrated so 4500 could be right...

havent updated this thread in a while so i decided i would since im bored at college

first road course event this year did not go so well for me...

Image
Image

just as i was starting to get a feel for the course s*** went down hill

going into the back course i dirt dropped my front end into the gravel where there was a huge rock waiting to make sweet love to my intercooler...

car mae no boost but ran so i decided to drive it home.

shortley after i picked up these no more s*** speeds
Image

theni got the chance to go under my car and check out all the damage and this was what i found...

found out my intercooler had a hole the size of a quarter... the reason my car wasnt entering boost...
Image
Image

and my sway bar nailed my oil pan but it was okay... and i was getting normal oil pressure...
Image

but on a side note while my car was running right i had a blast...
Image

so then at that point i decided i would do some upgrading and the car was put down for about a month
so i got the new coils installed and they go low like real low still playing with fitment though and probably gunna get a spacer for the rear
Image

picked up a buddy club seat from mark mansala
Image

viper alarm installed
Image

start of front mount install
Image

Image

Image

finished product
Image
Image
Image
Image

then i went to go test the car and found out my turbo was blown..
so car sat for another week while i waited for parts..

then finally got my s*** running right and took it to the first meet i could
Image
Image

and now where in the present
my suspension setup is just about done but i think im gunna go alittle lower in the rear

now im on to the interior...
i already ordered
shift knob
nrg short hub
nrg quick release
jdm white wheel

and already have installed bucket seat harness and harness bar

very nice. the fmic is the first thing to do when you swap this engine into this car. and for youre oil pan(check out my thread) i got the swap bar spacers from the sr20 store. they push the swap bar out without altering anything.

and how is the clutch working?? i was going to go with the cx turbo but iam going with a rebuild(a bigger wheel) with the stock housing..

thanks for all the comments guys i cant wait to start working on it more..

and yes i am going to put a bumper on lol

and kev im not home so no gargae lol

umm and the cxracing turbo is just okay... the power curve is whack and its def not like a real gt28
its not worth everything that needs to be done to install it
the only thing bolt on about it is that it bolts up to my manifold everything else had to be custom
