Has anyone twin turboed a rb20 and did it really make a big difference powerwise over a big single turbo. I ask because I am thinking about having an rb20dett bored .020 w/I,H,E and ecu. Or is it not worth the orginality?

it's possible, no one is doing it because it's waste your time

even the rb26 go single for peak power

Think about this. If it can be done with one turbo, why use two??

Yes it can be done, and done right, and blah blah blah... It's still a waste no matter how you look at it.

I don't agree with these people. It's only a waste if you think it's a waste. If response is what your looking for then make sure they are small turbo's. It's all about how much money your willing to put down for it to work. There is no stock manifold that will fit up for you to use. The Rb26 exhaust ports powen the RB20,RB25's.

Wow, I was hoping you could tell us how to do seeing as before, your signature read something along the lines of "Custom RB22DETT 240SX." I would suggest looking at that car, whatever happened to it, and use it for an example. ;)

Edit: But I understand trying to be cool so I'll add something non-satirical: If you have the mechanical know-how and resources, go for it. People will be much faster for much less money but you probabaly will be decently different.

you would have to use turbos that are smaller then the RB20 stock ones, you cant use GTR turbos because that would cause crazy lag

IF you're the kind of person who has good fabricating/welding skills and a pair of small turbos lying around i'd say go for it. Don't spend $$$ on turbos and custom work on a TT RB20. If you want a fast RB20, bore it to 2.2, do headwork, get a nice big T3/T4, big injectors, fmic and a standalone. Shouldn't have a problem breaking 500whp if you do that stuff.

Thanks for the feed back. Would two stock turbos work or would they cause to much lag?

The rb20dett in my sig was an almost fleshed out idea untill my brother put doubt into my mind about the time and money. sorry for not marking it.

With a good intercooler setup (nothing too big or too long of piping) and a big downpipe/y-pipe setup you shouldn't see too much lag out of GTR turbos. Naturally it wont spool up as quick as on a GTR but they'll boost. A better choice would probably be two redtop turbos or something non-ceramic. But don't do it if you gotta spend very much on the parts cause it probably won't work like you hope. One thing is for certain, it will be an awefully big pain in the butt to plumb everything.
