ok... my rb20 is overheating after I drive it a lil hard for a while. I've got a 12" puller monted on the engine side of the radiator. I've got the rb temp sensor hooked to the ka cluster (s14) and I have removed the thermostat. I'm going to put the thermostat back in tomorrow and get a ka temp sensor from the junkyard. Does anyone maybe have anymore suggestions of what might cause it to run hot?

Is it possible you have air trapped in the cooling system? Air pockets will disrupt coolant effectiveness. It's not even hot enough down here (yet) to have it overheat.

Taking the t-stat out will make things worse in most cases because there is nothing to slow the flow through the rad. Flush and bleed the system and try using some water wetter.

It may be that one 12" puller fan on a stock rb20 radiator isnt enough. Do you still have your stock plastic undershroud or did you remove it in the swap? Are you using a fmic in front of your radiator? Do you have an upper cooling panel? Tests have shown that the #1 cooling mod is ducting. But usually the problem with nissan engines is air pockets.

I've got everything to cool my RB, HKS FMIC, Koyo Rad., HKS honeycomb air intake, new water pump, oil pump, oil cooler, dual flex lite fans, custom fiberglass air ducts (one going to the air intake, and one even going on to engine), I mean everything you can think of, and still driving hard will overheat the poor thing, It's just the RB's love heat. I wouldn't worry too much, but if your worried, try a vented hood. That helped me out and get dual fans. well, good luck on the heating thing
