i already know there are prob posts about this subject but i have been doing some research on the 2 different engines and the wiring that comes with the swap. it seems they are about the same for price after the swap has been completed.. my buddy has a blacktop sr and loves it. i helped with the wiring on that and it did not seem to bad. on rbs are they about the same, or more difficult? also the only mount you need to fix is the transmission x mount correct? bare with me if i sound new to this. learning in progress. which swap would you do if it was going to be used for a drift car and some daily driving done as well? thanks for all the input chris

Youll need to bolt in an R32 crossmember if you want it to be bolt in, or use a mount kit. If you can find an auto KA transmission crossmember that also bolts up to the rb transmission. You may use the driveshaft providing it's a 5 spd.

As far as wiring goes, its not that bad. But it is more difficult than the SR. The SR is like one or two wires lol. The worst thing about it is theres something seven or more variations of the R32 RB20 harness so odds are you will have to piece your wiring together from different guides.

Of course it can be used for drift/DD. Why couldnt it? If parts availability is a concern though, go with the SR... Actually go with the KA-T ;) .

Sounds like you need to do some more reading :) . Good luck.
