hey everyone. i just finished my RB20DET S14 swap about 3 weeks ago and i have been driving it but lately i have run into a couple of problems that i was hoping to get some feedback on. when my car is idling, it will sit at about 1200 rpms for about 10 seconds, but then it likes to drop down to about 900 and it will sound like it is about to stall and then it jumps back up to 1200. it will do this every 10 seconds or so. this doesn't sound normal to me but is it? if not, what could the problem be? Also, my oil pressure stays between 35 and 45psi when i am on the gas but when it is idling it likes to jump up between 60 and 80 and bounce around a lot. what could be the problem there? could these problems be related? and lastly, when i get on it a little bit some times, the motor will just shut off. this doesn't happen too often but its annoying as hell. thanks for your help guys.

do you have elec. fans on stock altenator? i have dual 12" flex a lites and when every hey kick on the idle drop and jumps all over the place.... im guessing a bigger alt. would fix that.....no idea on oil pressure but check your spark if shes dying out... too much gas no spark will kill the motor... plugs coilpacks ingnitors check those out and see what you discover

Check your electrical connection on your oil pressure gauge... You might have a faulty connection or short thats causing the gauge to show erratic #s. The surging thing is weird and not normal, try cleaning the aac and iacv with throttle body cleaner. Do a boost leak check to make sure you don't have a vac leak somewhere.
