hi,
new to the fourm here so sorry for the new post ive been looking for the answers i need but no luck.

anyways i have a 89 240sx HB with a rb20det swap, ive done it all myself bought new pre made harnesses from wiring specialties so my wiring shouldnt be an issue. the problem im having as title says i have no spark! ive replaced the igniter with a brand new j30, repined the plugs following a cupple pples directions and pictures on here and i doubble check it even tripple checked it. still no spark! i have fuel and made sure i did just so everyone knows thats not it. i pulled the cas out spun it and the injecters click, the fuel pump kickes on/ primes up, but no spark. i have 12v to all coils and i do have a pulse when i spin the cas so i have no idea why theres no spark. i checked plug gap and also plugs are wet so i know i have fuel. is it possible all my coil packs are junk or even the ECU? before putting the motor in the car i tried to start it out of the car it did pop over and ran for a few seconds on starting fluid i didnt have a maf at the time and wasnt it hooked to a fuel pump/tank so i think that why all it did was barely run. ive been working on cars for over 18 years but im new to the rb motors so any advice would be great! ASLO more info car does crank over and everything else i have hooked up works fine..
thanks
jesse

Fuses are all good, checked them over a few times as well as my relays. There harnesses are all new wires with new plugs. I'm not sure what to do... buy more stuff coils, ecu cas?? everything is getting power in the right spots I've checked over all my grounds, I'm lost and getting annoyed! Is it possible that all the coils craped out? Like I said before it did fire and run for a few seconds and it did that a 2-3 times. I tried one other time after that but it just kept cranking not pop or anything.. Any thoughts?

You need a good meter and the ECU schematic, first check power on ignition to the ecu, continuity coil ground to chassis, then continuity ecu to ignitor, ignitor to coil pack.

You wouldnt happen to know what each of those should read out on the meter/ what's normal by any chance would you? And key on to test them? If you could pm me so you could help me out with this that would be awesome I'm not very good with wiring that's why I bought premade harnesses motor and transmission

just to let everyone know i found the problem it was a wiring issue with the wiring specialties harnesse i got aparently there designed for 2 applications, it was a simple fix just a wire they have wraped up that just had to be plugged in to a plug on the harness and isnt always used i guess. pluged that in fired right up but i need a maf now it wont rev up ove like 25-3000 rpm just cuts out. but anyways the guy at wiring specialties is awesome he knows his stuff and was alot of help trouble shooting with me on the phone.
but thanks to all who responded to this for the advice/help.
