Hey there guys pretty new to the rb motor right now the car I bought from this guy rigged up the alternator with a nut and couple of screws was a very poor job, made my belt come off in the middle of an intersection. So I was wondering what alternator brackets would interchange with the rb20 I know the Nissan quest fits with some fabing, was looking at the rb25 they look similar but would it mount up? Sorry for the long post
I appreciate all all the info and help

Hey once again so I've bought a s13 with an rb20 not to long ago and I've been fixing the mistakes the previous owner made. So the part that is throwing me off is when I get into full boost after a couple of runs it will slowly start to rise in temp it's a stock swap and it has a mishimoto radiator and 2 mishimoto electric fans, it didn't have a thermostat till later today put one In (300zx txt) and then I bled the cooling system it will stay cool when cruising its only when I really get on it.
Any ideas on some things I should check all answers are appreciated.

Throw on the clutch fan on those electric fans might not be doing the job or the head gasket is going bad.

If the gasket is bad and I have to replace should I send the head to the machine shop or is it not recommended that's if that's the problem and I thought the clutch fan won't work unless you move the motor and trans back some and the fans are pulling the radiator through they are on the front of the radiator shouldn't they be pushing rather than pulling

Yes get the head resurfaced and throw some arp studs in to hold it. Pulling air into the radiator is what they should be doing. I'd also get a breather tank it help bleed the system. The fan clutch is a b**** to install because sometimes you have to cut the support to make more room but it's well worth it. Also change all the rubber coolant hoses under the intakemanifold. If they are leaking a little the system won't be sealed and it will over heat.

Ok will do thanks for the info will be looking more in to it these next few day and I did a leak down test earlier and the liquid stayed blue didn't change to yellow or is it still a possibility that it can still be blown?
