i have a question about my car!

Well the main issue i have is my mpg. i have a walboro fuel pump and basically my car eats a lot lot of gas. i am also running a stock fuel pressure regulator. what i have heard is that the stock fuel pressure regulator gets overpowered by the fuel pump and u get bad mileage.

is that true? and if i was to get a nismo one what do i set it to? would i just increase the spring pressure?

You need to get a fuel pressure regulator as well as a fuel pressure gauge and set the fuel pressere to 38 I believe, someone will need to verify that for me but it is right in that range. Also, how often are you in boost? How hard do you drive the car? Those play a huge role in your mileage

Yes it's true most stock FPRs dont hold up against a fresh Walbro pump. Not sure thats the only thing thats causing your poor mpg though... Have you checked your ignition timing and spark plugs? What is the best MPG you see city/hwy?

If you get a Nismo FPR, the right way to set it is to unhook the vac hose off the FPR and adjust it until your rail pressure is 43.5psi (3 bar). Wherever it ends up after you re-connect the vac hose is fine (around 38 but it changes based on engine vacuum, altitude, etc)...

Jegs sells cheap little fuel pressure guages, get the 0-60psi one. Also be sure to pick up the 3/8" tee fitting, it has 2 barbed nipples and a 1/8" npt hole to thread the gauge into. Splice the gauge into the the hose between the fuel filter and the fuel rail.
