my motor runs really really strong until i reach over 10psi of then it just is crap if i let off the throttle it picks right back up as long as i stay under 10 my first guess is it is misfiring under the high load conditions so i took out my coil packs and looked at them and cleaned them, there was no sign of misfire so now i turn to you guys to see i any of you have ever experianced this or somthing that might point me in the right direaction.

it really sucks to not be able to go passed 50% throttle

Probably for the best since I don't think you should really push an RB20 turbo past 11psi.

Unless you've upgraded turbo's already..

either way.. you should provide a bit more detail for us about your setup so that we can help.

Here's my hunch at this point... purely a guess of course. ~ If you are expecting much more than 10 - 11 psi.. you've already upgraded the turbo. If you've done that, and you are cutting out at 505% throttle or approx 10 psi.. you are probably maxing out your fuel system. Either your injectors are not big enough, your pump is not stong enough, or you ECU is not keeping up properly.

Tell us more about your setup. I can see from your other thread that you've got DSM 450's and SAFC. The problem is most likely in your SAFC settings.

i took out the injectors im running basicly a all stock motor other than walbro. my car always ran at 12-13 pounds.my fuel check valve is bad but it couldent be causing this it just doesent hold fuel pressure for very long when the pump is not running..could it?safc is just tuned up like 10% but i have tried turning it up and it has no effect

dudeget to a dyno or buy a wideband. blindly changing settings on a SAFC can blow your engine.

and ill agree with too much boost, check your turbo for damage. could be the first signs you are blowing it up.

Mine did the same thing. I always just chalked it up to a boost leak as my turbo never made any chattering noise and spooled stupid quick.
