Well finally got around to sealing all the intake leaks and went adjusted the TPS from .38v to .50v...

Also got an adapter and put a filter on the MAF.

After doing so the god damn car finally starts easily and actually rev's up with the throttle! Finally heard the blow off whoosh!!!! However, it seems like i have coolant leak, coming from the water pump area..ugh,.

Also the mfkr is smokin good, so rich my eyes get teary.

Also, the damn fans didnt come on, I used the ka connector for the fans but im guessing now the pcm aint gonna make those turn on. So i gotta put in a temp sensor and use that to trigger a relay.

just when your so close, your still far away

Glad you finally got your engine to start/run properly at least, less a few minor details that is.

ok well got things wrapped up over this weekend.

I had a promblem with the car not charging along with a bunch of stuff not working. Turns out i had 75 amp fuse that was blown...after trying auto parts i came home with nothing. took my butt to the junkyard and only found one 75 amp fuse after searching 100 plus cars. seriously who takes all the fuses at the junkyard??????

So fast forward and took the car out for a drive tonite!!!!!

Man is this thing loud!!!! It has the lovely turbo lag!!! then you hear and feel

it spool up!!! As soon i let off the throttle i hear the beautilful whoosh!!

This thing is pretty loud for a stock bov.. But the ride was but short due to a rise in temp,. the electric fans turned on way to late. car was already a 210 and it prolly got up to 225-230..fcuk me , i know.

I let the car cool and then just made a mad dash home (1-mile)

The car was back to 200 quickly. When i got home i easily added bout 1 gal of antifreeze.. I guess I had alot of air in the cooling system. well thats all for now. More on this tomarrow

whats happening with his swap can happen with any other swap in any other car. Just have to work the bugs out, that shouldnt deter you from getting a race bread loaf in your car.

as long as you do your research you will be ok, just read over what you need and the wiring over over over over and over again and you will be good. Basic's, do your timing belt and water pump, clutch replacement. all of that before you throw it in the car, far as wiring make sure you find the plugs that are needed for the wiring. and dont hook your fuel lines up backwards lol. What helped me alot and still does help me is to look up threads that has to do with the motor running bad, or the motor not starting. then you know what to look for before you ask for help if you have to.

Thanks for the advice guys. This car isn't my DD so its just a side project next to college and work, but as for now im in the parts gathering and searching for info on builds and problems stage. My hopes are for the car to be running sometime this summer... No need to hurry, right?
