It's paper but is it reusable after you remove the manifold? My gasket stayed with the head and looked in good shape because it was new. Trying to track down why my car won't start now. Ecu checks out clear no error codes, I can hear the injectors clicking away when I turn the CAS. I have spark @ number 1 but haven't checked them all.

They really aren't reusable, but there is some leeway with new paper gaskets. I'm not sure Id reuse one on a boosted engine without some rtv on it or some copper spray.

But if you just have a vacuum leak, you could just unplug the maf and make the ecu go to the safety map. Then it doesn't matter how bad of a leak you have it should start.

Careful buddy, i had a high KM rb20 that had an intake gasket failure and coolant leaked into the intake port and hydro locked the motor. I dont think its related to your starting problem though. I ran a new gasket for a couple weeks before taking the manifold off, it looked fine and was all intact so I reused it. You can do that just be real careful with an older gasket or one that lost some material on either surface.

The Gasket was brand new I have never driven on it yet. It's been on the motor since i got it started a few weeks ago. I think it's a huge leak since with the maf unplugged it try's to start. I'll just replace it with a new cosmetic gasket since that one looks reusable, it's only place where I could get a leak from since I'm blow through there aren't too many places.

Changed the gasket with the Cosmetic gasket but still having a problem getting it started. I'm not sure wtf it is. I checked the injector wiring and they all have continuity to the resistor box. The box checks out at 6.4-6.6 ohms as well. I thought it might have been a air leak but doesn't seem to case here. It seems fuel related, I'm going to pull the fuel dampener off as well. Last time this happened was when I 1st tried to start it. I took of the stock FPR and bam it fired right up. I guess I'll pull the rail too and see what the injector spray patter looks like. Maybe my new injectors got some crap in them. Hate this part lol farkin problems.
