first of all i am wondering what the general level of difficulty is?

my next question is about the crossmembers, is it better to use the R32 one and the stock mountsor to get a mount set like night 7's and use the stock 240 crossmember?

i also have a wiring question.is there a where i can get like a PDF on wiring a RB20 in to a 91 fastback?

thanks.

i just used the r32 crossmembers and stock mounts...fits pretty good inside engine bay just gotta do a few mods for it to fit right. save those hundreds of dollars from motor mounts and buy an exhaust or fmic.

If you want to drive your car with the motor in it this year don't send night7 racing any of your money. You will be very sorry and have to post about how he took your money and isn't returning your calls.

This thread has been done numerous times even in the short time Ive been here, but whatever, heres my take:

I used the tophat mounts and it made the actual installation a lot easier, as the are two-piece and you can finagle a lot more because of that. I left one mount together and took the other one apart, then bolted it together once the engine was seated. I heard from a ton of peeps that the R32 X-member and stock mounts fit fine, so Id go that route and see what happens. Depending on your motor, you may have to switch the transmission brace around, nothch your x-member, hammer out your transmission tunnel, etc. I used the mounts and it went in perfect.

Top Hat mounts should be fine fo the RB20, but go directly to Top Hat.

I had some problems, but I was installing an RB25 with them. Apparently the RB20 fits perfect with them.

Ya, the 20 fits fine, I guess the mounting holes on the block are farther forward on the 25, I saw Jon's pics of the Passenger(?) side mount all tweaked and ****.
