r u sure...alot of ppl are sayin that in order for it to pass is to fuk around with some 02 ,N0X sensors and all that which will result in loss of power...

NOX sensor?????There is no such thing.Unless you put in a individual cylinder temp sensor.

NOX occurs when cyl temps are too high, thats why they have EGR's which dump exhaust into the cyl too cool it down.

Exhaust doesn't burn that's why it doesn't get hotter.

Just put a CAT on it.

Just go to a service station that does emission testing and explain ur situation...Then 80 bux later u have a nice yellow... Or whatever color sticker they are now on ur windshield....its that easy

P.s. If u find a xmember I have some new rb20 mounts for sale... And I'm pretty local... Just keep it in mind

like wob said just go to the gas station tell them ur situation and payu the money.. u might get arse raped by some gas stations but u will have a good sticker in the window. or u can take ur chances going to the dmv and have a 50/50 chance..i would get a cat then try the dmv first if not then hit up that gas station lol

I slapped a cat on my RB26. It failed the NOx section. Did everything I could to lower the cylinder temps, but I just couldn't. This is because we have no EGR valve, and with running the extra 2 cylinders, the NOx numbers never came close to that of the KA. So $150 later, I passed.

Running 1 and 2 step colder plugs. Running more/less fuel. Playing with the timing. Even "unplugged" Cylinders 1 and 6. Since I am emissions certified, I ran maybe 12-15 tests on the dynamometer in test mode trying to get it to pass with a 3" REGULAR Catco Cat and just couldn't get it to pass.

it should be possible to pull 2 cylinders off line just by unplugging the injectors and coils...either way if you are that worried about it then dont do the swap, else register it somewhere where emissions dont matter...like south carolina.
