Im doing an overhaul on my rb20 at the moment including oil pump, water pump, thermostat, tomei timing belt, idler/tensioner pullies, all gaskets, and arp head studs.

Problem I'm having is the r32 fsm that I got from here doesn't have the head removal/installation guide in it for rb20. Only for rb25de and rb26. Only other h/g ive ever done was on a sohc ka though I'm no noob when it comes to motors. Just really need the torque specs for the most part and any little tricks y'all might have for me would be greatly appreciated

follow the rb26 head removal or the 25, both are in the same order iirc.when it comes to installation reverse the removal torque in 3 stages for the arp bolts (use mad lube!), I normally go 30ft/lbs, 50, 75.You'll need to retorque after about 100mi.

I'd personally take the head to a shop and just make sure all the valves are seating properly and everything is in order. Seats shouldn't need changed unless they have been damaged, or have been ground too much for seating.

valve seals are easy, but if you want someone local to you go up to firestone at arboretum and see if john is working...he might be able to do it for you on the side for some cash.when i pull a head for a hg i always get it tanked and decked...just incase.
