Post

hey guys,

So i took my car apart about a year and half ago and the motor has been just sitting around since then. I am now finally getting the car back together and I had a question about the motor. When I was taking the old clutch off and putting the new clutch on, the motor turned over while I was trying to remove and replace the flywheel but it feels like there is barely any compression. My opinion is that the lifters have drained out from sitting. If this is the case, can I prime the lifters by cranking the motor or do I have to take them out and soak them in oil because from what I have read, the rb20 is an interference motor.

Anyone got any ideas of what might be going on here? The motor ran just fine before it came out and I have not tried to start the motor since, maybe I should start there?

Thanks.
