Just got it, they gave me everything, all wiring uncut, ECU, airflow, ingitor, driveshaft, transmission, the works. Very well packaged and shipped quickly. Total price including residential delivery, 1310. The only thing stopping me from totally recommending Venus is we havent ran the motor yet, but so far looks very good! Maybe pics later, and updates later as well.

Definately. I used to live in SA and still have a lot of family/friends up there, so I try and visit as much as possible. We'll definately have to have little get together :)

It was shipped very quickly, they said they'd be able to ship it Tuesday, it came friday. Everything looks good, the motor is freakin huge! Waiting on the mounts and some time to put it in. Top Hat Performance Mount kit, i saw he raised his website price so i snagged the ones off Ebay for 350 :)

Just a few questions to throw out. If the engine doesn't start is it Venus' fault? Do they guarantee it to start? What if you don't hook up the wiring correctly?

I don't think that should count against them if the engine doesn't start. Unless if the engine isn't safe/couldn't start since it has a hole in the block (hypothetical) and still they sell it to you. Now that would be f'd up.

I got an RB20 clip from them and the turbo was seized. They sent me a new one w/ a quickness. There customer service is great, but sometimes hard to understand.

rbsileighty got one with a bad transmission from venus, and he called them and they sent him another transmission. Now his old motor and the replacement transmission are in my car. They sound really cool to me. everyone who has dealt with them that i know of has gotten replacement parts when they asked for them.

Yeah Venus is usually good about replacing bad parts, i hope my 'set doesnt have anything blown. But its not like they are going to do a 100pt check on every motor they ship out, its believed good, and sold for cheap.

Also got the RB20 mounts from Top Hat Performance today (wont link cause i dont think they sponsor) and they are very nice, i got in on an ebay deal of his for 350 shipped. They're powdercoated glossy black. They are pretty well made and the price is great for all the custom pieces he had to design and fabricate to make the mount kit.

UPDATE! The swap in, running, driving! The engine runs good, boosts to 1/2 bar and currently is open downpipe. Surprisingly its not as loud as i thought it would be. Going to my exhaust guy tomorrow for a 3" magnaflow.

The transmission either is shorter from the factory or it has a short shifter kit, its a lot shorter than stock 240sx. With some Mobil 1 gear lube its very smooth shifting and with a 300zx N/A Daiken OEM clutch the pedal is almost too light and engagement is perfectly streetable and smooth. (115 bucks shipped off ebay, bolted right on like it was an RB20 clutch)

ECU blinks 5 times, then 5 times. We think this is code 55 meaning all is well, someone correct me or back me up on this one. The blowoff valve is pretty stinkin quiet, but we probably dont have it setup correctly.

I know you all want to see pics and videos, i'll try to get something up but i have nowhere to upload, no cameras ect ect.

My friend did the wiring, its got a switch for the fuel pump and the e fan, and we still need tach, speedo (easy i hope) and temp gauge to work. We printed the ECU pinout and used that 12 step RB20 wiring info to do the wires, it worked pretty good but the fuel pump wouldnt come on, but thats fixed with a toggle switch for now.

RB20 swap=easy. Trim the heater hoses and they go right on, a few scraps of radiator hose and that was hooked up. Getting the SMIC in place w/o having the best of availiable connectors was a chore but we got it on. There might still be some hood clearance issues--currently running open hood and have not checked the clearance.

I gotta go pick it up from my exhaust guy, can't wait to hear it breathe through a magnaflow.

Anything with a turbo requires premium.

You get the best octane you can! when we first started it up it had 4 gallons of 100 octane in it just to be safe. Its now timed and running good on 91 octane.

I ordered my rb20 from them and is in my 95 s14 and running great. I had to wait a bit longer because they did not pack it right the first time, but it got here just fine and it even came with 2 extra injectors welded to the intake manifold oposite side of the BOV. I'll see if I can get some pictures of it up later. Havent taken it to the track yet but think it'll do reall good.:D :D

We've ran almost a tank of gas through the RB20 and the oil (mobil 1 10w30) is still so clear you can hardly see it. Inside of the engine is totally clean, its a great engine! Venus hooked us up, and im about to order an SR20DE for my NX2000 from them as well.

The turbo doesnt even smoke! (some black smoke from running rich on boost, but thats all in the tuning)

I just got off the phone with Venus, i'm getting an SR20DE shipped to the Salt Lake City UT terminal for 355 bucks. The whole stinkin engine shipped and everything for 355 bucks. Thats 100-200 less than everyone elses prices before shipping.

Bottom line is, Venus rules. Very best value for the money.

I know this will sound dumb but what is the web address for venus. I have done several searches for them useing multiple search engines but all that comes up is people posting stuff about engines they got from them.
