I have standing water in my rb20 where the sparkplugs go in... also, rust, corrosion, plastic pieces and so on... is this normal? Probably not....

Dont buy from jdm-online, you will only receive garbage.

Anyone from Charleston, SC and can loan me a digital camera so I may document this?

im guessin the standing water is from them pressure washing it. Y dont you test the motor to see if it is good or not before basing there credibility

dude you bought a 17 year old motor from a car that came out a junkyard, what were you expecting?

do a leakdown test and see how the condition is internally.

Soak up the standing water and clean it up a bit before doing the leakdown test. It could just look rough on the exterior. Course, they could have accidentally dropped it overboard and fished it out of the ocean before shipping it to the states.

My motor had some rust build up inside as well I flushed the coolant a couple times and all was well after that.

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and cleaned up a lot of the engine and cleaned the top and pipes so it shines like new almost..

I need to replace all of the hoses still, the spark plugs, maybe the coils but not sure yet, timing belt and get a drive shaft and wire before I check it out..
