Its the same as the ka24e I know that off hand, so anything that works for the ka works for the rb I'm assuming, haven't tried it yet though.

THE KA24E regulator WILL work on the RB20 and the Rb25. I ran that regulator on my RB25.

initially i was looking at this one; click here

they stated on there it fits 89-98, so isn't the SOHC similar to the DOHC??

THAT IS A PICTURE OF A ADJ FPR AND IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE ONE ON MY RB20 AND KA24E SO I KNOW THAT WILL WORK. AND YES AS FAR AS I CAN TELL THE KA24DE USES THE SAME REGULATOR.

I just bought a SARD Racing FPR and a Nismo rail adaptor for my 20. I'll let you know how it goes.

The Nismo adaptor hasn't been sent yet, so if anyone knows where I can pick up (or how to make) an AN adaptor for the rail, that would be great... otherwise I will just use the regular style barbed connection with the Nismo adaptor.

K, I have a Walbro 255 on my car and just purchased a Nismo FPR for it. I honestly am a complete moron and don't know how to tune the car with the FPR. Yeah, I see the screw to adjust the fuel pressure, but how do I know what the pressure is at? Do I need to stick a gauge in somewhere to meter it, adjust the fuel pressure with the car running, then shut it down, relieve the pressure in the fuel system and remove the gauge??

Please help my noobie @$$ :(

You need to put a gauge in the line between the fuel filter and the fuel rail. Then start the engine and adjust the pressure to 35PSI at idle with the vacuum line hooked up, or 43 PSI with the vacuum line off.

Would it be a bad idea to mount a gauge in the cabin, put a T in the fuel line between the filter and rail and run the line to the gauge? All the inline gauges I found that mount in the engine bay only go up to like 15 or maybe 30 psi, Autometer makes a fuel pressure gauge that mounts in the ****pit and goes to 100...

NOOOOOOO, don't do that. There is a reason why no racing event will allow fuel lines running inside the cabin.

I just did a quick search for you... http://www.2kracing.com/produc...6ce68

$50 w/ free shipping for a engine bay mounted gauge.

Any gauge you get that goes in the cabin is going to be $100+ most likely... my 52mm greddy was 150, but that's something worth keeping an eye on...

that's a bit expensive the B&M gauge. summit racing sell them for under $30 [click here]

just for safety purposes, i wouldn't run my fuel line int othe cabin.

For what it's worth, I just put a VDO gauge in my line... it reads 38 psi at idle. That's with a Walbro 255 and RB20DET. I know someone said that the Walbro bumps the pressure up above 50 psi, but it's not that bad at all.

Anyway, I have the Nismo fpr on the way so I can move it down to 35 psi. Even tho it's only 38 psi now, the fumes are really terrible at idle.

Yeah mine's even lower than that, something like 37 psi. Bad gas fumes though :(

So after I installed my FPR, my car won't start. This boggled me, and more importantly, left me without a way to get to work since my Celica wouldn't start either  I finally get to work, get home a minute ago, and start looking for info on here as to why my car isn't starting. At which point I start seeing posts that apparently state the FPR to be at the front of the fuel rail, on the return line.

...Instead of on the rear of the rail after the filter, which is where I installed it.

I'm going to end the stupidity and go hang myself now :( First person to post after me gets my car ;)

I measured a couple cars, both RB20 and RB25 and the Walbro fuel pump just way over runs the stock regulator. one was 58PSI on the stock regulator with vac line removed, one was 55. It should be 43.

Maybe you just got lucky with your regulator.

i just installed in the B&M FPG intergrated with some fuel brass tee fittings. the nismo FPR will be next.

i'm using a RX7 Denso pump, hopefully it'll provide enough flow.

Well good, glad I'm not the only one with the horrible gas fumes at idle; although I have no o2 sensor hooked up yet. I may bite the bullet and get the FPR..either that or adjust all the fuel tables in my eprom, which I'll have to do anyway once the 550's go in..

JonPowell, that 38 psi was with the vacuum line hooked up. Not sure what it is with it removed.

I dont remember checking WITH the vacuum line hooked up, I am sure it would have been more than 38 on this one though. Not doubting you, just telling you my personal experience...
