rb20 flat spot problems, and loss of power

i have a r32 gtst skyline i bought it knowing it wasnt running at its full potential.

it ran well but as soon as i tried to bury the pedal it would lose power, and i have just recently fitted a front mount intercooler and it has gotten even worse.

if anyone has any knowledge on this problem could they pease advise me of it, also its hard to do burnouts in it ive been told it has a brass button clutch but it doesnt seem to bite properly.
