Ok, so I decided to drive my car for pretty much the first time farther than 20 feet. (I have no gauges or fans yet so I make sure that it's only on for very short spurts.) I take a lap around the block and within view of my house on the return trip, it dies. I restart, put it in first and start to let the clutch out and it dies again--not me stalling out like a noob, it just dies. I repeat this a couple times then just push it home. Now I'm sure not all the hose clamps on my IC piping are ungodly tight (I know for a fact the once on my TB aren't because they're broken) but it's not like I was even boosting at the time. I was just cruising along and I think once it warmed out it doesn't wanna work.

I didn't blow off any hose clamps and it'll still start right back up and rev, but as soon as I start to try to move it, it cuts out on me.

Any ideas?

get a volt meter and check your battery voltage. Make sure it's at 12volts. Is the fuel pump old or new? did you change the fuel filter? How about your spark plugs?

Dose it sputter before it just shuts off? Check the ecu codes too see whats wrong.

i agree that it sounds like the fuel pump. also, check for any blown fuses. The same thing happened to my friend's SRed S14. One fuel pump later, and the car was being driven home.

u say your intercooler piping is not tight that might be a problem. especially right at the turbo.

Checked all piping--it's tight enough.

I also installed a new Walbro fuel pump and it's still a no go. Something in the wiring dealing with the fuel pump is messed up but I drove it before just fine. The problem is that if the ignition is at ON, the pump won't shut off.

So I pulled the valve cover apart and pulled the first plug--the tip was black but not covered in carbon. I don't remember if NGK Plats are supposed to be black but this one was and soaked in gas. The plug was overall clean but could my prob be too much gas to start? I drove "Project240"s RB20 with the Walbro and stock FPR and it ran quite well so I don't get what's up.

Prease help meh. :help

If this is only a problem with the car warmed up, check the coolant temp sensor and wiring. Also, are you sure your fuel lines are hooked up correctly.

I would also hook up a fuel pressure gauge up at the fuel rail to make sure I wasn't loosing pressure. That would at least eliminate the pump and wiring.

The problem is now that will inexplicably not start. With the old fuel pump or new...and I didn't mess with anything. :(

Check all of your wiring. Check the plugs at the ecu and make sure the pins are clean and that it was plugged in all the way. make sure to check all of the solder joints that you did.
