Alright guys i need some help. Ive been trying to get this rb sorted out for 3 months and it just wont straighten out. Here are my problems: 1: wont idle 2: bogs/lack of power 3: when i try to adjust timing to 15* btdc it struggles and tries to die 4: intermittently dies buts starts right back up 5: random stumble from idle all the way up

Now , what ive done/tried/checked: 1: checked for boost leaks 2: new plugs, filters(air and fuel) 3: new timing belt and pulleys 3: epoxied the coils(improved it some) 4: checked/set tps 5: ran codes on ecu , came back 55 6: did compression and leak-down, came back within fsm specs 7: checked battery voltage , 14.3 steady

Im at a loss as to where to go now, Ive pretty much checked everything i can think of short of a new ecu . Am i overlooking something?

does it stumble initially when you give it gas in nuetral? have you wired in the idle air control valve? are you sure you didnt mix up some mafs wires when you wired it/ have a bad maf?

i didnt wire the car the guy i bought the motor from did but the first rb ran fine with it. as for the maf i checked the voltages but it read fine. even after that i swapped it with another and got the same result. i dunno im about ready to sell it and go sr or ka-t.

try a new ecu. otherwise it sounds like a maf problem to me. Unplug your maf and start your car and see if it idles ok. It will have a high idle but see if you still have your other problems. Ive seen some crazy problems caused by bad maf's

Try testing the coolant temperature sensor. Those things dont throw a code when they go bad half the time. They're sneaky bastards.

I know on most Nissan ECU coolant temp sensors at 70ish degrees the sensor has a resistance of 2.1 - 2.9 ohms.and around operating temperature its around 0.3-0.33 ohms.

The IACC-ACC valve has a normal resistance value of 10ohms
