OK....I have a 240 convertible and am currently working on my rb20 swap. Everyone says that you don't need a custom driveshaft on the rb20 but I can't get it to work. The lengths are off. I had to convert my car from automatic to manual so would that make a difference? Do I need to have custom driveshaft made? Thanks.

you need the 5spd driveshaft. automatic wont work. you also have to shave about and inch of the rb20 trans so the 5spd driveshaft will fit.

shave an inch off? huh?

just get a drive shaft off a manual 240 and bolt it in. oh and remove the dust cover off the rb trans.

We just removed the dust cover, by the time you take it down some, it doesn't do anything. Hopefully he realised not to take it off the transmission.
