RB20 DET TACH WIRING

I put an RB20DET into my sons 1990 240sx. I have tried 2 tachs, I cant get them to work. I am connecting to the # 7 wire on the ECM . What gives? I am using an aftermarket tach. the lights work, but not the tach. What should I do?

did you modify the tach signal on the instrument cluster? if you search on this forum or on zilvia you can find information on how to convert the 4cyl signal to 6cyl

do a search in the rb section. im pretty sure you need a dohc tach from a 91-94 240sx cluster for it to read. then to get it to read correctly there are a few different ways. easiest way i would say to fix it is order the tach from lsauto.com or hit up CarlH on here.

I am trying to install a Sunpro after market Tach. It is switched to 6 cly. I am using an aftermarket tach. the lights work, but not the tach. What should I do?
