rb20 compressor surge

my cars been sitting all winter due to it not having a starter. so i got a starter the other day and put it in and started it up after a couple trys and its not using the blow off valve for some reason. when i rev it up a little bit of air comes out of it but you cant hear it.. but you can here it compressor surge out of the intake big time.. is my blow off valve siezed or something?? nothing has been touched on the car since the last time it was ran and it was fine before winter.

Check the vacuum hoses to see if it's ok. you can pull it off and push the piston down a few times to see if it's really stuck. Note you will need to use man hands to push it in lol.

i dont run a BOV on my car anyways. there has been tests and you reallllly dont need a BOV unless ur running over 12psi of boost. it shouldnt hurt anything

yea thats what i was thinking.. im at 12 now but i tapped on the top of the bov and adjusted it in a lil bit cuz it was all the way out and now it works.

your probably not goin to hear a whole lot coming out of the BOV , simply because you're not building boost without any kind of load
