Ok as some of you know i have the bastard child setup in my S14, RB25 engine (previously an automatic) RB20 manual Transmission. now i had a very odd problem with what I belive to have been caused by the pilot bushing because i never replaced it from when i put the 5 speed on. So, i just need verification here.

Z32 NA pilot bushing in the 25?RB20 clutch same as one for a KA?

im gonna be ordering an entire new clutch kit for christmas in hopes to have the car through emissions and racing by early january.

thanks guys

im pretty sure a NA z32 pilot bushing will work -or- a 240sx KA24(d)E bushing will work. when i did the 5-speed swap into my rb20 i had to use the KA24 pilot bushing cuz the z32 would not fit. i have a NA z32 pilot bushing i could send u for free if u want. just give me your address and ill put it in an envelope and send it out.

and the rb20 uses a 300zx NA clutch. Im getting the ACT clutch for the 300zx NA with the heavy duty pressure plate. It should be good for about 385ft/lbs of torque.

Rb20 clutches start to slip around 250WHP...im having this problem if i crank up the boost it sux.

OK, this is 100% accurate:

90-94 300zx NA clutch works with rb20, and the 300zx NA throwout bearing is the same as the ka24de exactly...so it will slip onto the throwout (release) bearing holder.

The pilot bushing is the same for all nissan's with a manual trans, so any will work, just use everything that comes with a 300zx NA clutch kit and you'll be set.

Hey i screwed that up too, we never put the pilot bushing in the first time. It would randomly grind as you let the clutch out. So we got to spend two days doing R&R on the engine and trans. Then we broke the pilot bushing putting it in, and bought another one at Nissan. They are all standard and the one we got from Nissan works great now.
