I ran rb26 cams in my rb20 for a few months. With the stock cam gears/cam timing, I lost some low end and gained a slight amount of top end. I was running stock boost, and I set my tune back to stock. My tune was good for 10 hp and 9 tq.
It felt more like the car pulled all the way to redline instead of dying off at 6500.
The reason I never felt any good gains from the cams is because I later find out that the center lobe angle is a few degrees off of rb20 cam specs.
The rb26 cams would be an awesome upgrade with adjustable cam gears and a little tweaking, and a billion times cheaper than aftermarket ones.
I'm selling a set of rb26 cams if your interested... Hope that helps
