Ok, so the other night I was driving home and had a good clear stretch of road ahead of me. No traffic, straight shot and nice, flat surface.

So, I drop the hammer about 7/8's to the floor. Not WOT, but pretty close. I noticed my boost gauge wasn't hitting max boost...which for me is between .7 to .75. I was only getting up to about .67. So, I push the pedal all the way to the floor and it finally climbed to max boost.

Is this normal. You have to be wide open throttle to get max boost.

I know this sounds wierd, but in my old Eclipse, I didn't need the pedal to the floor to hit 14psi.

Seems strange, not terrible but worth watching to see if it gets worse.

depends on rpm and the gear itsself, not all gears will generate full boost when floored.

probably not getting enough load to make full boost. try running open dump it will prolly free up a lot of spool time

well the turbo has been known to give up at around 14psi or so, but the undersized stock injectors can't handle much more than 12psi. I had mine dyno'd and i was running ~11psi with afr's around 14 at WOT, which is way too lean for my liking lol

that can be attributed also simply to turbo size. ive had different turbo cars that would get full boost at part throttle, ans some that would hardly boost at all unless it was at wot. if its stock, probably like carl said with the gears and such.
