RB20 blow off valve question?

Ok is ne one on here running an hks ssqv on there rb20?.....if so how did u mount it?

i was going to the route of so how blocking off the stock bov (if thats even posible and runnign a unversal flange of my hot pipe...........if ne one has new suggestions please let me kno

I am using a ssqv on my 20 but to do it I bought a piece of steel at homedepot and just drilled 2 holes in it to cover where the stock one was and then on the compressor outlet pipe I just welded in a hks style flange off ebay on the original pipe. I have since change all my piping so i do not have any pics to show you

buy the one that bolts onto the stock location..or do like that ^. Not to start an argument..but I just used a random piece of metal from my friends garage and dremel'd it to shape to block the stock blowoff. And my car is fine, and my turbine is fine, and the car has been running this for 2-3 years.

On mine it has an HKS old school super sound AND the stocker... Thats just the way the guy who owned it japan did it for some reason. I works really well, doesn't cause any stalling, the stocker is plumbed back.

From EVERYthing I have read though:

The stocker is one of the best you can get unless ur pushing over 16psi. Thats where the 1g dsm mitsu BOV's start to leak. So many people have idle and decell problems and end up putting the stocker back on. The stocker can also be modified to run higher boost by either crushing it or tapping it.

ok well i checked all of hks's website and i cant find an hks ssqv that bolts up to rb20...can ne on elet me kno where i can find it?

Here is how mine is, why dont you just have a flange welded in?

OR... Just have a L bend made that replaces the stock crossover and has an hks flange?

i have one, but the bolt on the back is bent..or you can do the pipe thing..
