ok so i have come to conclude that my motor is probably a rb25, i have posted about this issue before, but i have found some pics of headgaskets for the 20 and the 25 and some look different, and some the same. i realize that many places use the same pics, so what i am wondering is if anyone could post a pic of their rb25 det block. i need to see what the head surface looks like to cross reference it to mine to determine for sure what i have.... i know dumb. i saw a pic of carl's car and his block looks the same as mine, so that is why i was wondering if the 25 is the same. i have 25 head parts, but i am so lost. i just want to be sure before i drom 300 or so on a metal headgasket. thanks again for the help all.

measure your bore with a ruler. 78mm for rb20, 86mm for rb25. 8mm is a big difference..

that looks just like mine, im assuming that you have an rb25? funny thing is, that looks just like an rb 20, or at least like the one carl h posted pics of. maybe they are the same block, diff bore and stroke? in that case, it would be the same headgasket. thanks for the pic.

Yes its a Rb25 block, and no the headgasket will not be the same between motors. Like gawdzilla said the bores are WAY different.
