I'm about to purchase a s13 with a rb20. I'm going to have to attempt to pass emissions with it in order to register it in my state (GA). Has anyone attempted to pass a rb20? I'm wondering what I'll need to do to make it pass. I'd prefer to not have to pay someone off to pass it, and pass it legally. I'd appreciate any help or tips. Thanks!

awesome, did you do anything in particular to "help" it pass?

I'm assuming your running a cat?

Yeah sorry. Bone stock RB20det on s13. Running cat and full 3" rsr downpipe, 3" piping to exhaust. That's it. and a nearly empty tank of gas.. haha. i dont think you should be worried unless you havent been maintaining your motor. change out your plugs, make sure your coils are good, maybe change your o2 sensor. you'll be fine

Did the previous owner take care of it. Also who has it who did the swap.

yeah, he took great care of it.

I was planning on doing the normal tune up things after I got it (plugs, oil change, etc) What cat are you running on your RB?

I thought the RB20 burned pretty clean, but I didn't think it burned THAT clean

you passed with no cat? Thats awesome. Your engine must be running really clean.

I didn't think douglasville has emissions?
