I upgraded my injectors to 550cc injectors and tuned the Safc 2 down to -48 baseline except for at idle where it's sitting at 0 cause it idled better this way, but for some reason when I try to drive off she stutters and jerks with the throttle 40% between 2000 to 3200 rpm but when I floor it she takes off. any advice? running the RB20 Maf right now

Sounds like the safc could use some tuning. Get a hold of a wideband or something if you can and get it in the right a/f range before something bad happens.

It might be that your stock size is 270cc and you went to 550's. Do you have a 300zx maf in it yet? That should help lean it out on the low end.

Yes sir, It will help a little but not a whole lot. We use to run 50lb on my friends SR20DE with the AFC/map hack. It ran ok but we really couldn't lean it out alot even with the 300zx MAF. Switched to the Emange and it's easy sailing after that. That think kicks so much *** over the AFC it's not funny. We have the A/F at a 11.8-12.1 after we dyno tuned it.

The SAFC is only good for +- 50% right? That means ur 550's are a tad to big. For an immediate solution, try a hacked maf, or simply add a breather filter to the intake after the MAF, basically anything that will allow some unmetered air into the engine. With that and the SAFC you should fine. The HACKED MAF is a pretty good and used mod on the 240, I always wondered why more Skyline guys didn't get into it.

Anyway, becareful with this, going to lean is a bad thing. I have a wideband so....

Would a push through (bigger... z32 ect) MAF setup help since it is a more accurate reading of what's going in the motor? How hard would this be to setup?

Reason is you have 0 correction at 1000rpm and at say 2000rpm (NE Point 2) you have -48%.. that means at 1500rpm, you have -24% s it averages everyhitng in between in a linear fashion.

I think you'll find you car idles best at 0% compensation when cold as it requires a rich mix to start/idle. set it up with some compensation when warm and see how you go.

Set decel throttle settings to *** 3.5% and 5%
