everything is hooked up rightiv seen post before about this but can not find it anymore- her is my ?- on the MAF - there is three wiresthree are hooked up- as for the last wire its black?silver doted oneis that the ground - if anybody has suggestion will help thanks

pull codes from the ecu, will tell you with the quickness.

i had a another maf put that one on -BOOM- same thing kept happingpressed the gas and it goes thenbounces back and forthtryed to drive it and I couldnt go out of 1st coundnt get no speed- my maf wiring is pretty long - so im going to try to shorten it -when i turned the key my ecu dosnt blink any other suggestionanything ccan help right now

have you pulled the codes yet?they will help isolate the problem, if not tell you whats wrong.

ok check codesi tured it clock wise then 3/4 backit had 1 slow 2 fastso code 12what is it - ?need help -[email protected] is my email email me ur advce if u couldor just post herethanks again

OK- i took about 1ft 1/2 off of the MAF wiringso its short and closebut still haveing the same problem-will rev up to about 2rpm then starts bouncing -? could the intercooler be effecting/ or causing itother than that 12 code is the only code blinkingchecked plugs / swtiched maf,s still no luckdont know what else it could -just puzzled

also im using the stock fuel pump - could that be what restricting air flow- plus wouldnt the ecu bring up a code for that mmmm intresting -

bad wiring or maf . recheck the wiring. Usually it's the wiring.

if you rechecked the wiring and its is indeed correct you may have fried the ground inside the ecu for the maf.happened when we put a z32 maf on my buddies ka, wire diagram was wrong and the ecu got power thru the ground and shorted, i bypassed it by going to the main ecu ground and its worked fine since.

mmm main ground to the ecui dont understand- or maybe its just to early for mebut going to check it the wiring again

if the ecu isnt powered when you turn the key then forget about starting the car. You need to run power to it but i forget the pin # .

quick search, pin 59! use a multi meter to see if it has 12v. If not then wire one from a 12v source and be on your way

ok - i check all grounds - ( seen 2 )on by the fuse box and other to maf-my ecu is being powered - i dont belive my maf is -made sure everything is pluged in - i check my maf wiring - is the power wire the black /silver strip wirefollowed that it goes off to the motor not ecu - are u talking about pin 59 being /59 Control unit power supply/ and thats powering the ecu and maf - am i understanding that right- i will go and check pin 59 to see if 12 volts are running thow it - if not ill splic somthing in and try againthanks- will keep trying

ok armysweitzer i checked pin 59 and yes there is power going to it- still no power going to the maf-what powers the maf -on the maf wires - this is how i have it wiredwhite - whiteblack/ silver striped / to black / silver striped black to black and the last one is a ground- still no luck with passing 2 grand -

plz u mentiond bypassing the main ecu groundhow and were is the main ecu groundhavent tried that one yet

i said nothing about bypassing the ecu ground, i was simply stating that you may have burned the maf ground which would cause the ecu to throw a maf code.you may need to rewire the maf ground to an alternate ground if this is the case.

ok searched for more info found this MAF wiring dyagrampin 1. no connection - pin 2. Shielded , signal wire- Black / silver striped - ? about that on the rb harness it has the black /silver striped . i have it going to that one. Wrong or writepin 3. unshielded, Ground ( black) ? now this wire is with the whitre wire there both sheilded - it says ground ? should i ground that wire - yes - nopin 4 . shielded , signal ground ( white) going back to the ECU no i have that one going to white- im sure that right.pin 5. unshielded, battery ( black/ Whitre) now were does ths wire go- when i got my car back it was connected to the black/ silver striped and the black / silver striped wire he said was a ground but this info says other wisecould somebody explain this or set me rightthanks - i took it for a drive still same thingwont go past 2rpm then bounces like always

the signs im saying - could they also be happing becasue a boost leak in the intercooler piping

damit nothing helps - what really makes me madis when i take my car back to the shop its probley somthing that i over looked and BOOMits going to drive fine i just have to PAY MORE MONEYdamwell thanks for all the info i gues i have to take it back****

Up dated - had wiring checked 3 timeseverything - found out no signal from ecuwouldnt keep a volt signal - in process of looking for rb20det ECUso if u have on let me know thankscash in [email protected]

CAR is running- problem solved- ecu wasnt sending a ground- **** - got new one-mmmm gets power now- but still the car wouldnt rec past 2gs - messed with MAF plug turned out that the pins were being pushed out everytime it was put on the MAF sensior- pushed the pins all the way in - bent the ends so it would stay - BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMim now driving my rbpowerdS13-id like to thank u nico members for the HELp and partsThanks again - will keep u updated on furtur modsthanks again

yeah from what you were describing it sounded like you had fried the grounds for the maf, usualy happens if the maf wiring is botched happened to me once.
