I have a few questions about the wiring in my RB in an S13. I'm getting ready to start it, most likely tmrw and I just want to triple check everything and eliminate all my wiring qualms (I have an intense disdain for wiring).

First: The main engine harness was professionally done by a reputable shop that has done many harnesses (I did what little wiring there was on the lower harness) and everything seems in order in the engine bay. They did a good job (everything was soldered, heat shrinked, loomed, etc) I'm anal so I check these things. There are 5 wires coming from the main ECU plug that are cut and not connected to anything tho and that concerns me. I just want to make sure they aren't needed. One is a sky blue wire and the other 4 are yellow. I'll put a picture up later and try to figure out ECU plug numbers.

Second: The engine was originally in a 89 240sx and now it's in a 91. Is there anything that I have to change in the wiring besides the under dash plug? I depinned the original white plug that was on it and put the brown plug on. I checked FSM's and everything just to make sure when I switched the wires over. The only thing that changed on that was the location of the black ground wire. Everything else just swapped over in the same position. I'm confident that it was done correctly and I just want to make sure that there are no other issues I'm overlooking.

Any help would be appreciated. Again I'll throw up so pictures as soon as humanly possible. Thanks.

Ok I have some more info and a sucky picture, but it'll give you the idea.

The wire colors are 1) Sky Blue 2) Yellow 3) Brown/Yellow 4)Yellow/Purple 5) Yellow/Red

The yellow/brown wires are all tied together and the sky blue wire is looped and tied on itself. You should be able to see it in the picture. Anyways without further ramblings here it is.

Ok more info again. I believe I have the correct pin numbers on the ecu.

1) Sky Blue wire Pin 19. It's listed as Power Steering Oil SW Signal. Where does it go? I understand it's probably not necessary, but it would be nice if it was hooked up.

The rest of these seem to be unnecessary, but i'll list them.

2) Brown/Yellow wire Pin 21 (Receive C/U data reception).
3) Yellow wire Pin 22 (Transmit data to C/U).
4) Yellow/Red wire Pin 31 (Clock synchronized signal).
5) Yellow/Purple wire Pin 47 (Check diagnosis).

I'm think the four above listed are for the consult port which isn't necessary, but if anyone could confirm these and give me some idea about Pin 19 the Sky Blue wire that would be great. Thanks.

How 'professional' of them.
You should have the CONSULT port pinned for diagnostics.
I included the PS Oil Signal in my harness as well.

I don't have my ECCS schematic in front of me, you will probably throw a code for the PS level if it is not hooked up, but with out a Consult port, you would not know it.

It's not a big deal I can sort it out later. I'm not exactly happy with it, but it was free so I'm not going to complain. If at some time I wanted to hook these up what would I need to do?
