i was wondering what parts of the ka harness to i need to wire to the rb harness i have. ive done swaps before, but only on my mitsubishi galant. i only had to swap over some pins on the ecu. i now have a 95 240sx that im putting an rb26 into. i have the motor in, im just stuck on the wiring. i dont want to have to pay someone. thanks in advance for the help.

You are going from an N/A 4cyl to one of the most advanced twin turbo I6's. If you've never worked on an RB26 before I strongly suggest you pay someone. It's not worth messing up the harness.

As far as the lower harness goes just use the stock KA one. That's what I did, I only had to extend a few wires. Though if you are using the stock oil pressure sending unit that will have to be spliced on.

Overall, this is not an easy swap, I suggest that you do a LOT of research in the FSM of both the 240 and the GTR before you start. It's good to know what you are up against.

I'm just imagining a doctor, mid-surgery going "Ok yeah, so I've got this gorilla heart in the dude's chest... anyone know how it's supposed to hook up?"

Dude, honestly,

http://www.motorsportstudios.com/wiring.htmRB26 -> RPS-13 $300

or

http://www.mckinneymotorsports...IRINGRB26 -> RPS-13 $400 (I think they have a discount for NICO / sponsorship, but I am not 100% sure.. Somone please verify that.. )

There are a lot of resources here on Nico and on RaceBread. If you are a "DIY'er" and want a lot of pain and heart-ache then by all means, DIY, but for peace of mind and being able to drop it in and go, get the wiring service. But alas, it is _your_ decision, I'm just throwing my $0.02 in..

Check out my build

Look around this site as well, search is your friend.

Also don't think it can be done cheap. 10k at least for a quality set up. There are a lot of things you should change or modify. Don't take shortcuts with an RB26 or you'll be hating life. The people running around saying it's an easy swap haven't done one, do keep that in mind. Take your time and do it right or don't do it at all.

again thanks for the help, i will check out your build. as far as cost goes. ive already got about 7 thousand into it, the motor, transmission, intercooler, and everything else. i got it in the car now i just need to button up some things and get the wiring done. i would like to do it myself(that much more pride in it when its done) but i have to much invested to take that risk now that i think of it.

i just checked your build, nice job. i was wondering where you got the n1 water pump. ive been looking around and all i can come across is the stock one. what did you do for your wiring? did you do it yourself or send it out.
