hey guys having some troubles.the basics. 91 240 sx coupe dock ka24de 2.4, usdm car.i converted the car to Righ hand dirve. and am just geting al lthe wires inside the car put back in ..i put an rb20det in the car. bolted in fine, mounts are good, driveline fine. the install went great for the "hard labor "

the advantage to the right hand drive is i dont hafto extend the MAF "mass air flow sensor" and the o2 snesor. wich is not a big deal but hey,

Porblems.

1: looked at the 8 step thread, and tried it. i dont have the single White plug for teh efi i have 3 small plugs, anways, so i cut the 3 small plugs about 2 feet of ectra wire, went to hook up some of the wires i was told to the colors arent there. and the efi there are not any Solid RED wires anywere off the 3 efi plugs.

2: car has power, no starter motor. nothing in the engine bat no fuel pump. notA.. the starter relay clicks and i have power at the ignition. but no starter. i dont know i think i have the wires wrong i am asuming..

3: Rb cluster dosetn plug in " i figured as much " so what all do i hafto swap to use teh cluster. prob the rb plugs? but are the pins in the same location and such?.

can someone give me a detailed wire setup or how the plugs should go and wires to were and such? colors to colors plugs needed/ extras

i am so Frusterated. i have done a 2 sr`s but the rb is giving me a hedache. PLEASE help.. Please.

are you seeing 1800-2000 rpm on the KA tach? if so remember it reads higher because it is for a 4 banger. That is probably really about 1200-1300rpm (still high, but you can adjust it down, or swap the RB tach into the ka cluster)

You need to start over from scratch and redo all the wiring.

1) The 8 steps is for the RB25, not the RB20.

Sit down with the 2 diagrams, for your car and for the engine, and see what wires you need to combine to integrate the engine into the car....like ECU power(constant and switched), ECU ground, Fuel pump ground, then the gauges, like engine temp, RPM, and oil pressure.

2)If the wires were right, you would have no problems...therefore something MUST BE WRONG.

3)The gauges is gonna be a bit of an issue, the KA cluster is electric speedo, the RB cluster is cable speedo, so you will need to run the cable. as for the wires, the backs of the clusters are labeled what each wire is, just matchthem up one at a time.

I think I emailed you a couple RB20 wiring diagrams, start there and match the 240SX wires up to the RB wires.

ok everything kinda works now, got fuel, got injector pulse, but no spark, and no starter, i have a " push buttom starter set up for testing "starters" so it cranks with that but not the ignition. and also. the white/purple wire off the rb harness that i connect to the White wire going into the fues box, is it the white wire that is on teh same plug as the black, yellow stripe? or wich white is it? thanl`s

Pull the cover from the fuse box and look for the 30 amp fuse, the farthest one on the right. It will be labelled on the lid as ign (for ignition. After finding that, unclip the box from its mounts and turn it over, finding the white wire that goes into that 30 amp fuse. I know theres two white ones, use the one that ONLY goes to that fuse, not the general power wire. after finding that, isolate it in the loom, pull the loom back a bit, and splice it from there to the white/purple RB wire, on the MAF/O2 sensor string of wires.
