Hi everyone. I am new here and this is my second Nissan. My first was a 90 TT 300zx. Now I am working on a 240 I got for $200. I now have about $15,000 in parts waiting to be installed. I stripped the car to the shell and have replaced EVERYTHING minus the doors and the roof. I have an RB25 waiting to go in. I have done several Honda swaps and this is my first attempt at swapping and installing an RB. Anyway, here are my questions:

1)I have upgraded to a T3/T4 Garret turbo and tubular manifold. Walt McKinney told me the stock motor could handle 20 pounds of boost. I am not shooting for that high but you never know. Will the stock injectors keep up at this level? What are good injectors to use? I am running a Nismo FPR and Chip in the ECU.

2)What are the inherent problems with the RB25?

3)What is a good estimate for HP on this setup, say at 15psi?

4)Anything else you can tell me?

As far as injectors, there is a local guy with a flow machine. You can check out his site at http://www.deatschwerks.com .

1)no the injectors will NOT handle that much boost, i belive safe limit is around the 13-14psi range.

2) no serious issues, while the engine is out id highly reccomend replacing the timing belt, water pump and oil pump with upgraded aftermarket ones.

3) HP estimates go out the window when you dont have a full setup to list, we need to know what kind of fuel managment you are running and what kind of tuner you are dealing with

1) a T3/T4 turbo, that is a very broad statement. That can be 1 of like 20+ different turbos with varying covers, turbine sizes and housings. The amount of boost your motor runs depends on the size of the turbo. for example 20 psi on a SC61 compared to 20 psi in a SC50 is a different ball game.

2) Inherent problems with the RB25's the pistons rings are weak. The stock Turbo is not the best. OEM injectors SUCK and at about a 85-90% duty cycle are good for the MOST of about 315-330 hp.

3) Depending on what size turbo you have 15 ~ psi on a average T3/t4 with a .68 back housing will be good for about Approx 350 rwhp but that will depend on supporting mods and tuning. Rough estimate, need more info on your mods. EMS, Head work, IC, etc.

4) Per Kamis prior post, do the easy **** while motor is out of the car. Such as replace the timing belt, new pumps, get a new tensioner. I mean you said you have $15,000 of mods . Where did you spend this money. This better be a amazing car.

WELL, it isn't close to being done. All the parts are here and I am just now starting tp put it back together. I stripped it to the shell. Haven't got much done because I am also working on my Scion XB. I am trying to get the body kit prepped and painted by next weekend for a show.
