People are going to flame you and tell you to search... Or at least look at the stickies =)

The price on the swap is coming down, new cheaper mount choices are available now that weren't when I did mine.

No, you don't have to cut your fire wall. No, it's not a very hard swap. I did it for my first swap ever. The wiring is actually pretty straight forward, there's more than one guide available with pictures. The RB25 transmission works fine, and I daily drove mine for over a year. Its not bad, but with a Walbro 255 pump you probably have other cars that get better mileage lol.

You want the truth? I think when I say we I speak for everyone, but we all bring it to a shop and let them install it for us. Also the parts are wicked hard to find so usually one of us goes to Japan to pick some parts and bring it back to the US. As far as working on it, its pretty hard because these engines are different from the ones we have here. And for it being a daily driver its not all that bad. Sometimes we blow a piston or two ya kno? But its all good. Cheers!!

Oh and 7k might be on the edge.

Dude I was just being a wise *** man but I am serious that these engines are tough to get parts sometimes. By that I mean it'll take days or even weeks to receive if something happened to it. Where as KAs and SRs you can go to junk yard and pick your part or have it delivered next day from Nissan dealership. If you wanna take a chance and do the swap go ahead. Its no different then any other motor just more research needs to be done along with more money.

Read the stickies first and see if this engine is for you. See if you can afford it first or have at least your 7g stand by because you may need to dump more money into this project. People always think 5g or w/e they have will get the job done but really we put twice into it. Crap I already spent 15g on barely no upgrades just maintenance and crap. Happy? Not really but I can rest assure my car will last a long long time.

Cheers!!

If you already own your 240, 7k will be plenty to get it running if you get a good clip, then sell the old KA parts (even tho it will be nothing).

Now i didnt say running good, but running none the less lol. Just keep AT LEAST 1500 for repairs at all times.

btw this is all assuming you will be doing the work yourself.

Moral of all of our stories: Whatever amount of money you THINK you will need, add another 2-3 grand in random sheisse

Ahh probably the same stage as I was at. Don't worry sadly 3 - 4.5g more and it should run.

$7g's to sex up your 240 is pretty expensive.

But to do so, just grab a can of bearing grease. Lube up your car... lol

that motor is a FWD; are you planning to put it in the 240??

anyways; rb motor is pretty easy to work with; i preferrred it over the v6 any day. it's pretty basic, once you know it's components.
