Wow you all talk like its your life savings for a RB 26. I would love to know what you guys spend on these jewels. I got 26 motor, 26 transmission, ECU, harness, cross member, front axles, spindles, lower control arms and both MAFs for $9000 Can. For me to do the AWD swap it might hit the $3500 mark but I doubt it. Maybe you guys complainin about cost should get a better job than Mc Donalds. Malac0da13, do the research, shop around and have the money ready to go. Ya might stumble on a deal. Good luck!

now, when you finish the swap come back and tell us how much it cost. im pretty sure you dont realize your basically gonna have to make an entire custom front suspension for the car. not to mention custom mounts (crossmember swap dosent work like it does with a 25 swap) custom downpipes because theres NO way the stock ones work in a s chassis, etc.

have fun!

nope but i can tell you a shop that knows

http://www.mckinneymotorsports.com

this is what mack said
mack @ mckinney wrote:...you need to replace the front frame to get clearance for axles and proper aligment of the engine, axles and suppension.. and you must use the Skyline suppension mated to your new custom front end... Oh dont forget to modify the floor pan and pass seat for clearance
no offense man, but many people like you have come in here spouting off about how it dosent cost that much and i can do it a ton cheaper bla bla bla. nobody has.

prove me wrong and ill buy you a beer.

Seriously search this. Just because you put an intake and headers on your Honda does not mean you can come into the RB forum and act like we don't know anything about the swap. If you really want people to help you out, you have to be friendly and do your own research and put effort towards it. Nobody is going to spoon-feed you this since it's already been covered.

I honestly don't know if anybody here works at McDonalds, but one of my buddies manages 5 of them and makes 150k a year so you might want to pipe down.

Nice find on the RB26 for $9000... For those of you wondering that is $8,058.73 USD as of this morning.

Well I really dont know what to say to you fellas. What Mack had to say about it from Mckinney I already know. I also get to chop up my fender wells to accomodate the upper link connection. From my first post on this topic to present I have learned alot. To any naysayers, just u wait. I cut fab and weld for a living. And Darius, your buddie still works for McDonalds. 150K LOL Its still McDonalds. And who said anything about a honda. Im off to start some hackin. Thanks to all who care.

Just another question since Darius thinks I overpaid, what SHOULD I have paid for all the goods I got?

For a front clip with all of those goodies included, you probably should have paid around $5500 to $7000 shipped at most. If you do the math, you already spent $8000, so if you can do all the fabricating of the mounts, driveshaft, wiring (should be fun for the AWD system), fans, intercooler, and fluids for $2000 you'll be right on par for the DIY swap cost estimate mentioned earlier in this thread.

To each his own I guess, but I'd prefer driving around in a Mercedes telling shift managers what to do and ordering stuff instead of cutting/welding/sweating and packing grime under my fingernails for a living and getting paid a third of that.

Thanks Darius, if you didnt care, you wouldnt reply. We are doin exchange rates correct? Anyway what is the most common imported models R32 or R33. Mine is R33 if that makes any diffrence. Did an all nighter last night to do more mock ups and engineering if one can call it that. Finished the hole in floor pan 4 transmission. Hopefully i can get some pictures for you fellas to laugh at. After a few wobbly pops, the framerail mods came into picture. WHO NEEDS AUTOCAD? Thanks again for all the good bad and ugly. Oh yeah, last year was a decent year, 110K, I don't sweat, I rarely get dirty, and when I clock off, its not my *** in a sling for low profits, retarded employees, or the overwhelming obeseity problem sweepin the nation.
