im about to buy my guys rb20 swap 240sx and from what i heard and saw is that my guy bought it running crappy he said the guy he bougth the car from said it was running fine until he took the motor out and cleaned the engine bay then when he put it back in the motor ran like crap when your crusing when you slowly release the clutch the car would die out and you would have to start it again constantly . so he readjusted the timing and thought the problem was a bad ground and a couple of other things then he brought it his friend at nissan and he played with it. afterward he said the car was running pristine but when he got on the highway the car shut off and wouldnt start back up. when he tried to start it about a week ago it cranks but just doesnt wanna go.

You need to start work down the basic diagnostic chart. Does it have fuel pressure, injector pulse, spark, compression? still need to know more info before anyone can point you in any direction
i just recently checked the spark ont the rb20 and i wasnt getting spark from one of the cylinders so i decided to check 2-3 more of the cylinders and they do not have spark either so im guessing maybe the wiring or coil packs are messed up i doont know.

if it started haveing problems after being pulled then put back in its could be a grounding problem. I had a weak ground between my Battery, Chassis and block and it caused me to not get spark or the injectors to fire
