well depends on what power u are aiming and how much u willing to spend but if you said that you have a 50% built ka then i would still with the ka.

well that depends boths motors have potential but the rb cost alot more but minor tune and bolt on can eat vert any day and its a reliable motor the ka will require more tuning and mod but itll eat the vert just like the rb and its a reliable motor too it depends on how much you want to spend...

check these vids.ka turbo vs vert.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgHPPKHW8T4

Anyway so by wat I got so far is , the ka is a great motor its has its limits as well as the Rb.But the RB. Can reach crazy hp. With less strain.? Am I in the ball park.

I'm sick of hearing people talk about how much money the RB is. First of all, it really isn't that much more money then fully building a KA or SR motor (if you're doing things RIGHT)

Be that as it may, that's only my opinion right there. However, MONEY is NOT a f***in spec. People on this board seem to think $$$ is a spec as much as HP, or displacement. I mean some alumni member of the board made a whole topic about SPECIFICATIONS on different motors, and when it came to the RB26DETT the specs stated NOTHING but mere dollar signs, witch is not very informal all. Yeah I know it's hard to believe but $$$ is not informal, especially when it's the only thing written there.

Not saying I didn't appreciate the spec forum, most of the specs were actually good, besides all the dollar signs cluttering the RB26DETT spot. Eh, who am I kidding that topic is a failure, the information is EVERYWHERE however at least the starter had good intent behind it.

To some extent i'm going to have to agree. People that have the money don't ask, people that don't dare to dream.

To the op, if you have a 50% built ka stick with it. If money is not a option rb26dett IMO , get the biggest motor you have the money for.Any motor can eat vets if built enough. just a matter of how much extra work is needed.
