Love the RB, love the Mustang, not loving the RB Mustang. Other than the one in the movie I have never seen such a swap.

RB Mustang may perform great, but it wouldn't sound right. ....

I don't know about you guys, but the sound of a vintage V8 Mustang at idle or or WOT is the shiznette!

It's kinda substituting tobasco sauce for spicy salsa in your taco. The sting is still there, but it doesn't taste right.

I have to agree with ya there. Nothing like the sound of an old school bb cammed out with a throaty exhaust note...then at wide open throttle sounding like all hell has broke loose.

Something about hearing a smooth I6 with twins on it just doesn't sound as apealing in a classic muscle car.

I've never been a fan of 'Stangs (except the GT500 or Eleanor reproductions) and the idea of a Skyline's heart shackled in a completely uninteresting and overplayed chassis doesn't even cause, as themadscientist would say "pseudopecker extension."

It doesn't even have to be a BB. The SB sound is enough for me. Here's a vid of a 66' Mustang coupe that my dad and I and some friends of the family built together while I was in HS/college. Note: At the time this video was taken, this car hadn't been started in 2 years. It needs a some carb adjustments.

http://rbmotoring.dreamhosters...rious I did the wiring, turbo/manifold, ems on the Mustang from FNF. A place called Tri-C engineering (Hot rod shop), did the mounts, and did a lot of the other messing around on the car. It was finished off at the picture car warehouse.

It actually ran pretty well. I never let them crank it up much. It was supposed to be pretty much just a running show car.

Inside Line tested it and it was actually quicker than the V8 cars that picture car did. That made me happy...now if I would have just turned it up higher than spring pressure on the wastegate.
