Are you guys using the mckinney motor mounts? If so are you having clearance issues?

I am having custom mounts made here in Japan. If you do a search on this issue, I posted my pan a while back and a guy commented on what mounts he was using and all in the states. He is using a modified RB26DETT Oil Pan

I don't have any hood, stearing shaft, or sway bar issues ,if that is what you mean. It is close, but nothing is rubbing.

Your new motor might have different engine mounts than your old one did since it was from a stagea. You may have to swap the mounts that are attached to the motor over in order to clear.

If your using our mounts with the Alum RB26DETT pan you will need to add washers between the mount and brackets to rase the engine or modify the center of the crossmember to get alittle clearance for the oil pan/engine crossmember. the kit is designed for the RB25 oil pan, but several cars as well as one of ours using the TT pan use our mount kit with no problems ...Mack

killer. Thats what i was trying to figure out wtf is going on. I am having the pan modified starting tomorrow. But my main concern was if the baffles were going to screw me because it looks like this pan is lower than the rb25. Thanks fast datsun. By the way fellas i did swap the original rb25 mounts with the stagea mounts. Everything was the same except the oil pan and those stagea mounts. Motor also had a wierd oil pressure sensor setup. It's not on the oil filter adapter. Its on the block just aft of the filter. I'll have pics up by this weekend with the video.

diff chopped off, some of the bracing at the botom of the pan needs to be shaved flat/smooth so it wont hit the power steering / crossmember. Its not that hard.

easy he says. I'll have you know i spent 4 hours cutting off the diff with a dotco and then the other half of the axle came off with a sawzall. Then i had to use a damn file to shave down the rest of the pan.

I believe if you are using the stock rb26 pan you will need to shave he aluminum webbings on the bottom and of course machine the diff housing. Also I think you need to use washers to raise the engine a little but my main concern is with the guys using the rb26 pan, what did you do about the sway bar? DId you have one custom made?

i had to bump the rubber isolators from 1" to 1.5inches. That was after i shaved the webbing and cut the diff and axle off. Have no idea about the sway bar. cause i don't have one.

what did you use to bump your isolators an half inch? And just to make sure these are all people using a rb26dett with the stock rb26 pan correct?
