i picked up a maf from an RB26, which i am told it is the same as the maxima/rb20 (N60)

i cannot find any info on here on how to wire it up to my CA harness.

i need to know what the pinouts are on each harness:

flow =>CA1-2-3-4

RB1-2-3-4-5

i am going to pull the pins right out of the CA plug and plug them into the RB plug, so it will look stock.

any help ASAP will be appreciated.

hey, thanks, i was looking for that thread. i even posted in it way back.

but i'm still confused. it's only a 5 pin connector, not 6. it says X B C D E X, but this maf is clearly wired X B C D E and the color coding is

X - nothing B - blackC - black/silverD - whiteE - Black/white

should i ignore that it's 5 pin?

I only wired up 3 wires, grounds together, there was an extra wire on the CA harness, but I didn't otuch it, maybe it is important because I seem to have a time of it getting it to run when it's cold, but then again that could be the leaky injector thats seems to have reard it ugly head...

ok, this problem cannot be entirely related to the wiring, but here goes:

we searched other forums and found that if the 3rd pin wasn't grounded properly, it would be "floating" and give you a 5.15V signal. so we fixed that.

X - blockedB - signalC - 12V ground (chassis)D - 5V ground E - 12V

but now my car runs in limp mode. i can't rev it into boost or it hits a brick wall. the MAF came out of a running GT-R, and i am told they're the same as RB20/25 and maxima. but you guys say it's a purple tag, and this one looks orange. it's a 5 pin plug.

on the S-AFC 2 i'm using 2 in and 7 out.

i'm trying to figure it out here. at idle, i'm reading 1.1-1.2V which is supposed to be right. on the S-AFC it's showing .7%, which is lower than before, but on par with what they said a Z32 would read.

we checked the codes, and even ran the real time mode, but all it ever came up with was a code 12. i just read it up and that's AFM?

so maybe i fried the AFM or ECU? it seems to be giving me the right #'s when i am driving though. so i need to know if:

a: someone please confirm i got the wiring rightb: if the maf seems to be working fine, then it could be the ECU? could a bad maf only partly work? or is there no grey area. My friend told me when he accidentally wired incorrectly, his Z32 mafs, they literally got smoked, and they read 0V when he tested them. c: orange tag? the part # on it reads 22680 5U00 A36-000 J70d: if all the above checks out, then i should try another CA ecu? e: is 2 in 7 out right?

i'm at my wits end here. i have to get my ex to loan me her SUV and take her to work early tomorrow. i'm hoping i can get it solved in a day.

i just re-read the S-AFC 2 manual online. shows the GT-R maf is a HW 3. i'll be back to tell if my problem's gone.
