lol thats because he thinks you are gonna race the car now. look into declared value insurance. you put a price on the car, pay based on the price you put on it. if anything happens they will cover the value you put on it.

I canged the title to 6 cyl and mine stayed the same. I put a declared value on the car for 10k for like 36 extra a month

If I were you I would be more worried about how you are going to pass emissions. It is not like OBDI where you can just pay someone off. I really hope you plan on registering this in a non emissions county.

As far as insurance, if you are trying to get full coverage and declare a higher worth of the vehicle it will go up.

Will the insurance company insure a car with an engine that is not acceptable for road use as far as emissions are concerned? I live in Iowa and there aren't emissions here, but I think they are assuming that you have an engine that is from a car that was originally sold in the States.

Haven't looked into it as my motor just arrived about 15 minutes ago...thanks to Chip at cardinalmotorsports.com. Would be helpful to know if you can just get away with your regular insurance coverage and not say anything about the motor.

What has everyone else done?
