RB in a Z31??

In Japan the Z came with the VG and an RB20DET. Are the mounts the same for both of these engines? Would an RB from a R32 drop into a USDM Z31?

Any info, or any place I can find info would be great, thanks.

same questions i asked a while back but got no answers

i'm pretty sure it bolts doirectly in, ut not 100percent.

I also think it would be a dope swap considering a rb20det front clip goes for 1000 dollars

I KNOW....Z31....1000bucksfront clip....1000bucks

fast and cheap. plus picking up spare blocks is NOT a problem. Plus I really don't see the price of these engines going up.

me either... they are dirt cheap cause no one uses them... I dont see why not, just becuase it is a rather small displacement for a 6 cyl, doesnt mean you can get easy power out of it.. some guy in australia put an rb2.0 in his s13.. thing had 313 power off a gentle turbo upgrade and rather low boost.

was it a black 240? I think i've seen pics of that car...

It'd be good for a Z, not to make huge hp numbers, but hell its a turbo straight six bumpin 200hp....not bad at all. plus blowing motors isn't a big deal...
