RB guys! I need help with this asap!

ok my second cylinder wont fire and it has a new spark plug and a new coil pack. I cant figure it out. its driving me crazy. help please

RB engine?

on RB20/series one RB25 check continuity from the igniter to the ECU

on Rb25 series 2 check continuity from coil to ECU

Continuity.... you need to see if you are getting any resistence between the two locations Jon was talking about.

You'll need a voltmeter or ohmeter.

ok ill give it a shot...i was also thinking it could be an injector or a burnt valve....what do you think

What is needed for a cylander to fire... 1.) Spark.. new plug so that's not it... new coil.. so that's not it. Other cylanders fire, so most likely not the ignitor. Probably wiring is the problem.

2.) Fuel.. any fuel on the plug? Could be a bad injector.

3.) Air... will not be the problem.

try testing with a voltmeter to see if you are getting signal from the wiring. Check your connections. Try bending the spades a little bit on the coil plug to make sure you are getting a good contact. Check the plug at the ignitor to make sure those are all contacting properly.

buy the look of the plug it looks like its running rich cause it was black...but i dont know cause the original owner could have just never changed the plugs.

All plugs are black or just cyl 2?
